Aberdeen Airport

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]berdeen Airport opened in 1934 and with the discovery of North Sea oil in 1967, soon became a major centre for helicopter activities linking oil rigs to the mainland, as well as business and leisure flights.

The airport has a number of hotels, vehicle hire points and parking facilities.

The Aberdeen Airport information point is in the main terminal concourse, situated opposite the domestic baggage reclaim area. The information point consists of an interactive information pod which can be used to find out about transport links, traffic updates, tourist and airport information and provide feedback on your airport experience. (A second information pod is located inside the bus shelter on the inner forecourt) There are also internal and external telephones you can use to obtain further assistance.
